Welcome to Lituba Place, our lovely hideaway close to the Kruger National Park. Doves are symbols of love, peace and tranquillity and we had no reservations naming this lovely place Lituba, which translates to Cape Turtle Dove in SiSwati. Lituba is located 100km from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and 23km from the Crocodile Bridge entrance gate to the Kruger National Park. Lituba is the ideal base for day trips to southern Kruger - an area with an abundance of wildlife, both in numbers and species. Lunch at the cosmopolitan beachfront restaurants in Maputo is less than two hours away. A day trip to Swaziland is always to be recommended - the craft markets are really extraordinary.
Lituba Place accommodates up to 6 guests in three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a walk-through dressing room and a spacious bathroom with a double shower & double basins as well as a lovely corner bath. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third can be configured with a double bed or two single beds. These bedrooms share a bathroom with a double shower and bath. All bedrooms have roof fans as well as air-conditioning.
The well equipped kitchen is fitted with a stove, microwave oven, fridge/freezer combination, chest freezer and ice machine. The swimming pool is ideally located to sit and watch animals coming to drink at the pond a few metres away. The lapa and braai (barbecue) area is equipped with a braai grid, light and wash basin. Safe walking and biking safaris can be undertaken in the 3000 hectares park, or you can do your own game drive and enjoy sundowners along the Crocodile river while keeping a lookout for game coming down to drink. Marloth Park is birder's paradise with more than 350 species ticked. |
