For a little bit of heaven, on the outskirts of the Drakensberg mountains only 2 - 2½ hours drive from Johannesburg, come to Little Long Creek. Privately situated on a 200 hectare Bonsmara stud cattle farm, a registered conservancy, with only birds, antelopes and hills for company, this is the ideal retreat to relax and recharge and have the perfect family outing.

Lots of work was done to make the isolated chalet into a well equipped and peaceful home from home. It is clean and spacious and the interior and exterior braai (barbecue) areas cater for all sorts of weather. The fully furnished chalet is equipped with two bathrooms and sleeps six people. The adjacent rondawel has room for two people. A beautiful 7 hectare dam is situated in front of the chalet. Apart from being stocked with yellow fish, bass and trout, the dam lends itself well to water sports such as swimming, wind surfing, canoeing and kite skiing.

The 4km stream with it's three weirs makes it for wonderful sightseeing and it leads to the perennial Kommandospruit with it's indigenous yellow fish, which is especially active from January to April. A variety of bird species are available in the hunting season like the guinea fowl, redwing francolin, swainson's francolin, Egyptian goose and yellowbilled duck.
