Come discover an exclusive private game lodge in the serene southern Free State setting, where the most spectacular sunsets are experienced from the main lodge as well as the luxurious chalets. Lying virtually in, "central South Africa", in a malaria free area, 90km east of Lake Gariep, South Africa's largest man made lake, is Letsatsi Game Lodge, where the sun comes to rest. It is conveniently situated 25km off the N6 from Smithfield and just 90km off the N1 routes. This lodge is an ideal stopover between Johannesburg and Cape Town, Lesotho, East London and the Wild Coast.
The lodge consists of 28 luxury en-suite chalets each with private decks overlooking the distant plains and fifteen rustic tents await you. The chalets were designed to offer each guest privacy as well as comfort and all chalets are equipped with ceiling fans, electric blankets, as well as tea / coffee making facilities. The Bush Camp is the ultimate place to experience nature at its best. The camp, only reachable by 4x4, is nestled in a secluded valley. Although rather rustic, luxuries such as electric blankets, turndown goodies and exquisite cuisine, certainly make this an experience to remember. Return from an early evening game drive to be welcomed by the distant smell of the campfire from the open air boma.
The main lodge has a variety of comfortable and interesting lounges and it also has a bar, all leading out onto a wooden deck, overlooking the magnificent Free State landscape. Cold winter nights are made special by romantic fireplaces in the lounge, dining room and bar area. The lodge also has two conferencing or event venues and a professional, dedicated management team that is always on standby to ensure the smooth running of any event. Game viewing, conducted by experienced rangers offer sightings of white rhino, buffalo, giraffe, aardwolf, bat eared fox, zebra, impala, kudu, blesbuck and numerous other antelope. |
