A magical game sanctuary high up in the Soutpansberg Mountains. Lesheba has over 340 indigenous tree species and abundant animal and birdlife. Experience the thrill of walking amongst wildlife, along spectacular trails through forests, across plains and down breathtaking gorges with sparkling pools. Visit Bushmen caves with ancient rock art. Enjoy sundowner game drives, guided walks or adventure horse trails and look out for rhino, giraffe, leopard, porcupines and pangolins. There are two exclusive, unique Bush Camps including the extraordinary Venda Village Lodge created with internationally acclaimed local artist, Noria Mabasa. The Lodge sleeps 9 sharing in two double rooms, two twins and one single, all with en-suite shower and toilet. There is a fabulous outdoor bathroom with large stone bath and outdoor shower. The Lodge has a swimming pool, two lounges with fireplaces and dining lapa opening out onto a wooden deck with endless views across the valley. Each chalet has two interleading rooms, a double and a twin both with en-suite bathrooms. Booked on an exclusive basis, min 2 pax for two nights. Children of all ages welcome. EXTRA ACTIVITIES 1. Balance is due one month prior to travel. Cancellation Policy: More than six weeks prior to travel - an admin fee of R100.00 will be charged. Between six and four weeks of arrival - 25% of the total amount will be forfeited. Within four and two weeks of arrival - 50% of the total amount will be forfeited. | DIRECTIONS: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| • Take the M1 North out of JHB. • Get onto the N1 North to Polokwane (Pietersburg) • At Polokwane follow signs N1 to Makhado (Louis Trichardt). • Take the N1 to Makhado. • At Makhado, the first main 4-way stop that you come to is Rissik. • Street or the R522 to Vivo. NOTE: If you put your speedometer to 0 at this first four way stop it is 36.1km to our turn off. • Turn left into Rissik. • The BP garage that you will come to on the left is the last fill up spot. • Take Rissik St all the way out of Makhado and approx. 31km outside oftown you will cross over a railway line. • Carry on over the railway line for approx. 4.7km and you will cross over the SAND RIVER Bridge. • After the bridge approx. 300m down the road you will see our sign on the right hand side. • Turn right onto the gravel road. NOTE: There is a gate a little way down the road, which may or may not be closed. Please leave as you find it. Follow all signs to Lesheba. • Carry on along the dirt road. After approx. 3km, you will pass a farmhouse on your left. • After the farmhouse, a few hundred metres up ahead, the road forks and you keep to the right. Continue following the signs that say Lesheba. • Follow the road up the mountain to our gate and from there to RECEPTION. NB. Please ignore the signs that say 'gate locked' and ensure that you close the gate properly. IMPORTANT TIPS WHEN DRIVING UP THE MOUNTAIN: 1. Keep the car in first gear the whole way up. 2. Try not to use your clutch too much. 3. Try to take the drainage bumps at an angle rather than driving straight over them. If you travel very slowly you should have no difficulties.
