Information about Lepelle Lodge

Lepelle Lodge is situated in the heart of Mpumalanga near all the scenic places in the Lowveld escarp, like God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, Pilgrim's Rest and the Kruger National Park. At Lepelle you can relax with the rhythm of the Spekboomriver in your ears and forget about all your troubles. We are close to Steelpoort and Lydenburg within the Platinum and Chrome mining area.

There are no television sets or radios in the rooms, we want you to feel as close to nature as possible. At the lodge we can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests at a time in our 6 en-suite chalets. In the afternoon cocktails are served on the terrace and deck, overlooking the tranquil bush and the cascading river being guarded by gigantic cliffs, while you are enjoying the breathtaking sunset. The evenings around the fire in the lapa, after a delicious dinner in our restaurant, is an experience any guest will treasure for a long time afterwards.

At Tholo Tented Camp and Bushhouse, come and experience the bush at its ultimate wildest, yet just as beautiful! Between majestic cliffs and rocks, in a Gitlane Moonsicle Ludo African community cultural site lays a small, self-catering campsite with fitted and furnished tents... 4x4 vehicles or bakkies with difflock will only be able to access the camp. Each tent has its own bathroom and bedding and towels. No electricity is available at the camp, only sun powered lights and lanterns, gas fridges and stoves. Each tent has its own lapa for campfire / braai, ect. There is a communal cooking area with campfire / braai facilities, a two-plate gas stove, refrigerator and washing-up facilities. The Bushhouse sleeps 7 and is close to the Spekboom river with fly fishing for Yellowfish, you may also encounter some hippo and crocodiles in the river.

If Africa has a heart... you can hear it's beating... at Lepelle Lodge.
