Lemoenfontein game lodge is set in the heart of the great karoo against a backdrop of the nuweveld mountain range, with spectacular views over Beaufort West and the vast Karoo plains. This exclusive lodge is situtated on a ten thousand hectare private game reserve, built in the mid 1800's by an english gentleman, and used as a private hunting lodge.
 
The homestead is a haven for the world weary traveller, and for those who want to escape city life and experience the beauty, silence and unassuming simplicity of the vast open spaces. Lemoenfontein comprises of 12 extremely comfortable en-suite bedrooms all leading out onto wide verandahs. All rooms have air conditioners, overhead fans and wall heaters and some with fireplaces. There are outside braai (barbecue) facilities and a swimming pool in the beautiful karoo garden.

The reserve hosts more than 20 wildlife species including giraffe, burchell and mountain zebra and many more. Early morning and evening game drives are offered in an open game vehicle. There are also 4x4 trails, walks and hiking trails. Nearly 200 various birdlife species have been recorded in the reserve.

The lodge prides itself with full farm house breakfasts and traditional South African three course dinners, in summer on its magnificent verandah and in winter in our stunning dining room with crackling log fires.
