Situated under ancient oaks, flanked by vineyards and the Simonsberg Mountain, the guest house offers the unique combination of modern comfort and old world charm. There are 7 tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms and one self catering suite with crisp white linen, M-Net, coffee / tea making facilities. The patio rooms all have private verandas that face the beautiful garden and the attic rooms have balconies with mountain views. Double or twin beds may be selected and the attic rooms have sleeper couches for an extra adult or child. There is also one charming cottage for those who wish to stay longer.

Your hosts the Van Niekerk family are fourth generation owners and they invite you to enjoy the unique ambience of this magnificent setting, as well as breakfasts al fresco, vineyard walks, bird watching, wine tasting, tennis, summer pool lunches, winter log fires, and have owls lull you to sleep after a busy day. You will also be welcomed by our very friendly staff and a variety of dogs. Your hosts are also keen golfers and they have played on most of the golf courses in the Western Cape. The guest house is situated within 30 minutes of the 10 top golf courses in the area and they will arrange the necessary bookings for you with pleasure.

During the harvest you are welcome to wander into the wine cellar at the end of the garden and experience the sounds, tastes and aromas of award winning wines in the making. Knorhoek offers a carefully selected range of noble cultivars and blends, of both red and white varieties.

From Cape Town Airport

Leave Airport direction Cape Town; take exit N2 direction Somerset West;  stay on N2, take exit 33 Baden Powell/R310/Stellenbosch. At a T-junction with large set of overhead traffic lights, turn RIGHT. You will enter Stellenbosch, pass the train station on your left and get to a large set of traffic lights where the R44 joins the R310. Go left and stay on the R44 direction Paarl/N1. Keep going straight on the R44, you will start leaving Stellenbosch, pass a housing development (Welgevonden) on your left Morgenhof wine estate on your right; about 3km further going down the hill, KNORHOEK ROAD turns to the RIGHT. Go straight up Knorhoek Road (about 3km) follow signs to the Guest House

From N1

Take Klapmuts/R44 exit off the N1 and proceed towards Stellenbosch. Cross a 4-way stop (beware of the speed camera!!) and it is about 10km to the KNORHOEK ROAD exit to your left. Follow signs to Guest House (about 3km up Knorhoek road).
