Our guest house is situated at the slopes of the beautiful Makhonjwa mountains, with a breathtaking panoramic view over the De Kaap Valley and town centre from our spacious verandah.
This Victorian house was built in 1890 and poses a great history. During the South African war in the early 1900's it was used as a mess by the British military troops. After this it was in possesion of the Wormal family for 50 years. In 1996 Steve Prinsloo converted it into a guest house, and has since hosted hundreds of tourists and businessmen.
Kloofhuis is ideally situated to explore the town's rish historical heritage and the surrounding natural splendour. We are within walking distance from the centre of town as well as various popular tourist sites, restaurants, museums and hiking trails. With 4 en-suite rooms - two double rooms and two twin rooms, we can accommodate 8 - 10 people with ease. All the rooms have TV's, fridge, ceiling fans and tea / coffee making facilities. Guest are welcome to relax in our guest lounge. Braai (barbecue) facilities are also available. Come and stay at the place where hospitality is our priority! |
