Khumula is owned and managed by Fritz and Alta Pretorius who both love the great outdoors. The Game Lodge is situated in the old North Eastern Transvaal (Northern Mpumalanga) on the farm Fraaiuitzight, between Burgersfort and Steelpoort and surrounded by the Maroni mountains. Some 30 species of game roam the 2000 hectares of pristine bushveld and guests are free to explore the whole farm on foot, by bicycle or horse.

Accommodation consists of one 3-bedroom chalet, two 2-bedroom chalets (all self catering), 3 rondawels and ten thatch units with en-suite bathrooms (not self catering). All buildings are constructed from stone with thatch roofs and furnished with hand-made log and sleeper furniture. Relax at the pool, enjoy a delicious meal at our restaurant, or take a long walk in the veld and enjoy nature, the game and prolific birdlife. Game drives on open 4x4's are offered, either in the late afternoon or at night.

Khumula is also an excellent choice for brainstorming and team building with its conference facilities suitable for up to 40 people. Golf and tennis excursions to the nearby Tsubatse Village Club can be pre-arranged. For the 4x4 enthusiasts, there's the endurance track to test your metal.
