Khaya Guest House nestles against the Soutpansberg, under the shade of two massive Red Mahogany trees (khaya anthotheca). The large subtropical garden offers good birding and ample opportunity for relaxation. Your hosts, Erina and Daan, wish all their guests to share in the healing effect of the lovely environment.
Each of the three en-suite guest rooms (Bloukuifloerie, Bosloerie, and Vleiloerie) in the farm house has its own theme determined by the paintings and colour of the décor. The interior creates an atmosphere of tranquility - a place where you immediately feel at home. At affordable prices, the warm hospitality is included with unforgettable meals prepared by Erina herself. The establishment also has a self catering cottage in the garden.
Hiking and birding trails leading from the guest house traverse scenic landscapes and a diversity of habitats. One of the best birding spots in the Soutpansberg, Roodewal Forestry Reserve, is adjacent to the property. Nearby attractions include Lake Fundudzi, Tate Vondo Holy Forest, Dzata Ruins, and the Albasini Dam. Trips to these places can be arranged – including guides. Khaya Guest House is only 120km from Punda Maria, which makes it a convenient stop over to this northern gate of the Kruger National Park. |
