Karoo Gariep Conservancy is a great halfway stop between Cape Town, Johannesburg and the Garden Route. Now there is no reason anymore to speed from the south to the north or back across South Africa within a single day. Karoo Gariep Conservancy now offers guests the luxury of spending a relaxing time at a two 4 star guest houses. Why rush your trip, or even decide to fly, when you can take a relaxing drive enjoying the unique scenery that only the Karoo can offer you.
The guest houses are set in park like gardens and they are decorated with a mixture of antique pieces and cottage furniture. The spacious bedrooms are all en-suite with warm and homely atmosphere. Delicious meals are freshly prepared from the local farm produce. Activities on the farm include walking trails, horse riding, bird watching and hippo drives. After a magnificent Karoo sunset enjoy a braai (barbecue) with a variety of farm style dishes in the boma under the star studded sky. The guest farm also has the perfect setting for a romantic wedding day!
Guests are invited to join us for an unforgettable sundowner at the hippo pool - the only hippos in the Karoo re-introduced to the Karoo environment. We also boast with our own landing strip for light aircrafts, situated on the farm. We look forward to welcoming our guests and introducing them to some of the Karoo’s greatest gifts.
