DESCRIPTION:
 
This 1500 hectare privately owned game farm in the Klein Winterhoek mountains of the malaria free Sundays River Valley, offer three unique bush getaway experiences, only 95km from Port Elizabeth. The farm borders the Greater Addo Elephant National Park for 5kms, and is home to over 25 species of game including re-introduced herds of Cape Mountain Zebra. Scenic bush walks, Bird watching, mountain bike trails and 4x4 routes are all on offer.

Intaba Lodge is a luxury mountaintop lodge and offer quality accommodation in a rugged environment accessible by 4x4 vehicle only. Panoramic wraparound views of the Greater Addo Park, Zuurberg and Cockscomb mountains, stunning sunsets and abundant game viewing make the lodge a desirable option. One can enjoy cozy log fires in the thatched lapa or lodge in winter, or cool off in the cliff-edge plunge pool in summer. The lodge and log cabin sleep 18 comfortably and are fully equipped for self catering with weber, potjie, skottels, grids, satellite television and entertainment system.

Aloe Tented Camp offers accommodation with a difference. An atmosphere of tranquility in the bush surrounds, lends itself to just chilling out, where one can marvel at the vistas of never ending stars and savour the calls of the wild on your doorstep. The child friendly camp sleeps 30 in 4 tents, each with its own shower, basin and toilet. It has an open plan kitchen, braai, pub and lapa area and is fully equipped for self catering. The natural rock pool and braai (barbecue) areas are a feature nestled into the surrounding bush.

Deer Cottage is a quaint renovated three bedroom farm cottage dating back to 1890, is home to resident Axis Deer and Springbuck. Steeped in the history of past Anglo-Boer conflicts, it is now a tranquil getaway for flora and fauna enthusiasts. The cottage has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleeps nine. It is comfortably furnished and fully equipped for self catering.

R250 per person per night (6 persons or more) - Self drive
R300 per person per night (5 persons or less) - Self drive
R300 per person per night (6 persons or more) - Including transport
R350 per person per night (5 persons or less) - Including transport

R100 per child per night (between age of 6 and 12)
R150 per child per night including transport (between age of 6 and 12)

Aloe Tented Camp

Minimum of R1500 per night for 1 - 10 persons (weekends)
If more than 10 - R135 per person per night (excluding linen - extra R10 pppn for full linen)
Minimum of R1000 per night for 1 - 10 persons (midweek)

R50 per child per night between 6 and 12
Children 5 years and under no charge

Deer Cottage

R1000 per night for the cottage

A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking.

DIRECTIONS:
 
From Port Elizabeth

Travel on the R75 pass Uitenhage and continue towards Graaff-Reinett. Take the 2nd Kirkwood turnoff to the right. (Don't take the first Kirkwood turnoff which is 34 kms from Uitenhage, but the 2nd one 47kms from Uitenhage) Travel for 5kms and take the turnoff to your left. The road is marked "Brakkefontein" and has signs saying Intaba Lodge 8km, Deer Cottage 11km and Aloe tented camp 12 km. Follow the winding gravel road to eiter one of aforementioned establishments.
