Situated only 20km east of Stanford, Hermanuspietersfontein Boerdery is a farm which offers you the unique combination of magnificent mountains, 200 hectares of pristine fynbos and clear mountain streams with beautifully tended vineyards. Hermanuspietersfontein Boerdery is a working farm and you will find 11 different vine cultivars against the mountain slopes. Bloos and Kleinboet offer fully furnished one bedroomed double bed accommodation and Swartskaap is the en-suite annex with its bunk bed. Each cottage is self contained with bedding and towels, a shower, running hot water, all kitchen utensils, fridge, and even an indoor braai (barbecue) for winter. And to ensure that you get away from it all, there is no electricity or cellphone reception.

The charming cottages, named after wines from the farm, are set between the mountains and the pastures. No need to bring your own wines! A full selection of the Hermanuspietersfontein wines is available in a trust bar, as well as pure fynbos honey and extra-virgin olive oil. Take a walk along one of the routes between the vineyards and fynbos to the waterfalls, or follow the mountain streams. Cyclists are encouraged to bring along their mountain bikes and ride the roads between the vineyards. The farm is ideal for fynbos and bird watching enthusiasts. Bird friendly farming methods ensure a wealth of birdlife. Invasive alien vegetation has been removed and the fynbos is pristine again. Stargazers are assured of wonderfully dark nights with brilliant, clear skies.
