Hoedspruit Lodge, 603 is a three bedroomed six sleeper luxury self catering thatched lodge with a plunge pool, and air-conditioning in the main bedroom and lounge with TV. The outside dining area has a built in braai (barbecue). The fully equipped kitchen has everything for self catering including a "drie poot potjie" for outdoor cooking. The second bedroom has an outside private shower and the loft bedroom has an outside balcony.
The lodge is set on an acre of bushveld in a 5000 hectare game reserve where large herds of game roam freely among the lodges. Buffalo, giraffe, warthogs and large herds of buck including Impala and grysbok all roam freely on the estate which is ideal for hiking walking and mountain bikes. A nearby stream offers viewing hides above the waterholes and an abundance of lowveld birdlife.
Hoedspruit is halfway between the two middle gates of the Kruger National Park, Orpen Gate to the South and Phalaborwa to the North. Nearby is the Blyde River Canyon, the third biggest canyon in the world with Blyde Dam boasting spectacular views by boat of the Three Rondavels and surrounding cliffs. The world famous panorama route includes God's Window, Pilgrim's Rest and Dullstroom, famous for its trout fishing, is all within 150km. |
