Highlands Hotel is situated at the foot of the Imperani mountain with a beautiful view of the Maluti mountains of Lesotho, which is covered with snow during the winter months. A most scenic area. The Caledon river divides Ficksburg in South Africa from the mountainous Lesotho.
Ficksburg, known for it's annual Cherry festival and in the hub of cherry land, is on the Highlands Route R26. The hotel is located opposite the historic sandstone town hall, declared a national museum. There are various other interesting sandstone buildings (national monuments) in the area. The White Mischief (a floating cigar bar) carrying 20 passengers; scenery and game drives by quad bikes; flights over Lesotho and Katse Dam, Ox wagon drives and much more!
