Nestled mid-way down Cradock's historic Breë Street, Heritage House is within easy walking distance of the Cradock central business district, restaurants and tourist attractions. Established as a B&B in 1999 and situated in a large tranquil garden this Karoo-style Victorian homestead offers the weary traveller a welcome respite in peaceful surroundings.
Each of the 7 double en-suite bedrooms has a private entrance from the garden. All the rooms are equipped with bar fridge, ceiling fan, television, tea & coffee-making facilities, home-baked biscuits and toiletries. Heaters and electric blankets are provided in winter to keep the chill at bay. Three of the rooms are in the main homestead and the remaining four in two garden cottages.
There is ample secure off-street parking for vehicles, caravans, trailers, veteran and vintage cars and boats. Guests can relax next to the sparkling swimming pool in the garden which is also home to an abundant bird life. Braai (barbeque) facilities are also available.
A hearty full English breakfast is served in the dining room. Wholesome, home-cooked evening meals and lunch packs may be provided upon timeous request. Heritage House is, however, not licensed to sell liquor.
The B&B is gay, pet and child friendly.
All credit and debit cards are accepted. |
