To stay overnight in the scenic town of Ficksburg at the gateway to the Maluti Mountains, is to enjoy typical rural hospitality at our guest house. Centrally situated and within a five minute drive from the Lesotho border post, we offer 16 secluded cottages set in a tranquil private garden.
The Garden Cottage with a bay window overlooking a small pond, contains a double bed, a single bed and a window seat as well as small fridge, Victorian bath, shower, hand basin and toilet. The Sandstone Cottage has an open plan bedroom / bathroom, this sandstone and rusted iron look room has an atmosphere of romance about it. The Violet Room situated outside, is comfortable and contains a double and a single bed, small fridge and an en-suite bathroom with small bath, shower, hand basin and toilet. The Lavender Room has twin beds, and en-suite bathroom with shower, hand basin and toilet. The Lavender room shares a large front verandah with the Violet room.
There is a thatched rondavel, cozy but cool with an African touch, contains a double bed, small fridge, shower, hand basin and toilet. There are various gardens available such as the Shell, Ivy, Lily of the Valley and the bachelors rooms. Guests may park their cars on the property, where we have a security guard on duty.
We have a restaurant / conference / wedding venue on the property, which seats 100 people, where you can enjoy light meals and delicious homemade treats!We have a bar on the deck of the restaurant, with breathtaking views of Lesotho & Imperani Mountains. The bar has 3 fireplaces on the inside with big screen tv. We ensure you that our intentions are to make your stay with us pleasing and memorable. |
