Golf House is located in the peaceful sub-tropical seaside village of Southbroom and is owner run by South Africans Pat and Kate Clarence. Guests will enjoy five stylish bedrooms, relaxed lounge and pub. All rooms lead onto the pool or large patio overlooking the golf course, with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean.
Golf House is situated on the world-renowned Southbroom Golf Course, just a two minute walk to the Club House. Within 20 minutes drive there are another five excellent golf courses. It is the ideal location for golfers and/or a beach getaway.
Explore the beautiful nature trails and hikes that abound in the area, and thrill at the abundant bird life. Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve, less than 23km inland from Port Shepstone, is one of many venues that provide walking trails, riverside picnic spots and excellent birdwatching. Almost at the entrance to Southbroom you will find the Riverbend Crocodile Farm, where you can watch these reptiles being fed every Sunday afternoon. For the less adventurous, shop till you drop at the numerous craft shops and markets. In the evenings, dine at one of the three good restaurants in the area or request an evening meal from the Golf House. For entertainment, guests can also head off to the Wild Coast Sun Casino and try their luck!

Albatross Room - On the upper level opens onto private patio with sea views and this joins onto the large patio. This room has twin beds, a TV, fridge, a basin in the bedroom and an en suite bathroom with bath and a built in shower in the bath. This large room has a sitting area with two cane chairs.
Eagle Room - Lower level - this large room opens onto pool area with sea views. This room has twin beds, a TV, a bathroom with shower only, a fridge and a sitting area with a full cane suite.
Birdie Room - Upper Level - Opens onto the patio with sea views. Birdie has 1. a medium sized bedroom room with two twin beds and TV, 2. a bathroom with a bath and a built in shower in the bath, 3. a small dressing room with fridge and 4. a small sitting room.
Parr Room - Upper Level - Opens onto the patio with sea views. This medium sized bedroom has two twin beds and a TV, a separate small dressing room with fridge, and a bathroom with a shower only.
Putter Room - Lower Level - opening onto the pool area with sea views. This room is smaller and has two twin beds and a bathroom with a shower only. It is a comfortable single room or a small double. It has a small sitting area with two cane chairs and a TV.
All rooms have hostess facilities. All rooms have safes. All rooms except the Putter are air-conditioned and in addition the bedrooms have ceiling fans.
Bed & Breakfast Rates
Albatross Room: R550 per person sharing. R90 extra for single supplement.
Eagle Room: R510 per person sharing. R90 extra for single supplement.
Birdie Room: R510 per person sharing. R90 extra for a single supplement.
Parr Room: R475 per person sharing. R90 extra for a single supplement.
Putter Room: It is a comfortable single room at R445, or a small double room at R350 per person.
Self Catering Rates
This means that your group takes over the whole of the Golf House - Albatross, Eagle, Birdie, Parr and Putter.
1 to 4 people: R1815 per night for the whole house
5 people: R425 per person
6 people: R400 per person
7 people: R380 per person
8 people: R370 per person
9 people: R360 per person
10 people: R345 per person
Christmas and Easter Tariff is R3465 per night even if party is smaller than 10.

Please confirm when booking.
At Port Shepstone you will go through the Oribi Toll Plaza.
Continue south on the freeway which now becomes the R61 (the N2 goes inland to Harding / Kokstad).
23km from this as the freeway ends take the Southbroom North left hand turn at the traffic lights.
Wind down to the village. Pass the pop in supermarket and go to the circle.
Take the 3rd turn off the circle, this is Beach Road, go down the hill.
At the stop street take Lewin Road down the hill.
Take the first sharp right turn, this is Francis Street.
Golf House is the second to last house at the south end of the street.
We have a green wall with the name "Golf House" on the wall.
Travelling time from Durban International Airport to Golf House is one hour and fifteen minutes.
