Gecko Inn is a very small establishment with a warm homely atmosphere. We have two cottages set in a peaceful garden, each with their own private corner. The single room, "Hansie" is semi self catering. Across the garden from Hansie is our twin room "Tobie". Each of these rooms has their own en-suite bathroom (shower only). They also have TV, a bar fridge, microwave oven, kettle and complimentary coffee, toaster, fans / heaters. Enough blankets to keep out the winter cold and there are warm water bottles for the beds on request.
Next to the main house is our family room, "Sakkie". Sakkie is a tented room with 4 single beds. You will feel as close to nature as when camping without giving up the luxury of comfortable beds and electricity. Like the other rooms, Sakkie has his own en-suite bathroom (shower only). Imagine camping and still lying in bed watching TV. The room has a bar fridge, microwave oven, kettle and complimentary coffee, fans / heaters. Enough blankets to keep the cold outside where it belongs. Sakkie has two see-through plastic windows to allow a view without a breeze and two netted windows which can be opened to allow a cool breeze to blow through the room in summer.
No traffic will keep you awake at night but the birds might wake you in the morning fighting over a bread crumb. Gecko Inn will feel more than a holiday stay than an overnight at a guest house. |
