In the heart of South Africa's beautiful Garden Route you will find Franverleigh Lodge. Set on one hundred acres of indigenous forest at the foothills of the majestic Outeniqua Mountains. Whether it's fishing, canoeing, bird watching, hiking, mountain biking, swimming or sitting on the deck watching the sunset, there is something for everyone in this secluded retreat. South Africa's finest beaches are easily accessible, as is the Knysna Forest, where you might even see one of the wild elephants still living there.

The chalets are stylishly appointed for your self catering holiday. Each has 2 bedrooms, both en-suite. Further guests are accommodated on a double sleeper couch. One of the bedrooms has a queen size double bed and the other has two single beds. All linen is provided except towels for swimming. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with stove, microwave and fridge / freezer and all cooking utensils. There is crockery and cutlery for 6 people. Outside there is a braai (barbecue). The kitchen, dining and living areas lead to a partially covered deck with spectacular views. There is also a TV with multichoice decoder - please bring own smart card for DSTV.

We have a large swimming pool for your enjoyment. There is a small dam with bass (catch and release), only 200 metres from the chalets. A canoe is also available for your enjoyment. For the energetic there is a path down to the Karatara River where there is a sandy beach and inviting natural swimming pool.
