Florence Guest Farm

Set high on the northen grass and wetlands of Mpumalanga this old sandstone farm house with open-hearth fireplaces characterizes the stark beauty of this charming and unspoilt corner of the highveld. Here you will find peace and tranqulity amongst the lakes and pans of Matotoland (the "land of the frog").

Florence Guest Farm has three cottages that sleep 3, 4 and 7 persons respectively. We also have 3 rooms with en-suite bathrooms. All of our accommodation has private garden areas and views of the lake, offering comfort and a luxurious country atmosphere. We offer Dinner, Bed and Breakfast (DB&B), Bed and breakfast (B&B) as well as Self Catering (SC) options. Ané's home cooking and fresh bread is a must! Our dining and conference room offers an exclusive venue with fireplaces and a view over one of the lakes. Here you can enjoy full catering services with wonderful country cooking while closing business deals.

Florence Farm is an organic farm that produces organic vegetables and berries for the South African market. We also farm with sheep and cattle. As you will be coming to a working organic farm, you are welcome to participate in the daily farming activities and especially the berry picking. Other activities include birding, walks on the farm, bushman paintings, wildflower walks, and "frogging" safaris. Real hospitality depends on one's host, their attitude, service and knowledge of the area, and with this you are guaranteed a most memorable stay with Nico and Ané and their happy family.
