Situated close to Addo Elephant National Park you will find a tranquil B&B on the banks of the Sundays River where you can relax and listen to the distinctive call of the fish eagles. Here you can enjoy an abundance of birdlife, including fish eagles, kingfishers, african darters, owls, sunbirds, and many more while sitting on the expansive deck. A short walk from the house is the river where you can sit on the floating pontoon and fish or just dangle your feet in the cool water. Further along the bank, if you look carefully, you will find a bird hide from where you can watch the wonderful variety of waterfowl that the river has to offer.
The rooms are all spacious with en-suite bathrooms and are tastefully decorated in natural colours. Tea and coffee facilities are supplied as well as large ceiling fans and wall heaters to add to your personal comfort. From your rooms you can walk directly onto the sundeck which is only metres away from the river. On the other side of the house is a putting green and lawn bowling rink. There are putters, bowls and fishing rods for hire, or alternatively, you could bring your own.
The Eastern Cape is malaria free and boasts a multitude of private safari parks which complements the Addo Elephant National Park. Game viewings, sunrise and sunset drives, as well as other excursions, can be arranged upon request. |
