The few minutes drive from Paternoster to Farr Out is not what you would exactly call far. But when you arrive in this sandy bushveld wilderness, you do feel pleasingly remote. Crunching up the glinting shell pathway you can see across an indigenous garden and right out to sea. Earlier risers may catch some of the wildlife that comes by when it thinks no-one's looking. Stunning indigenous wild flower carpets can be seen between the months of July and October. Bird lovers can discuss 225 different species and visit the last manned lighthouse in Tietiesbaai / Cape Columbine Nature Reserve which is situated nearby. Guests can take a relaxing stroll on the 8 kilometer unspoiled white sandy beach and watch the playful dolphins and Southern Right whales in season.
