Duck Inn offers accommodation in the finest traditions of hospitality and comfort with gracious and attentive service. Ideally situated in a quiet road in the suburb of Meerensee, Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. We are only 2km from the beach and shopping centre, one hour by car to the Hluhluwe and Umfolozi Game Reserves, and one and a half hours from Durban.
Six guest rooms, all are en-suite, and attractively decorated. Remote control TV's with M-Net, tea and coffee making facilities, together with air-conditioners, a well stocked bar fridge, and fans are in every room. Plush towels and plenty of space to make you feel at home. All rooms are unique and separate, offering guests their own entrances and privacy. There are also two self catering cottages in the garden.
Duck Inn is a birders delight with 35 different species visiting the garden. Plenty of benches and chairs to find a spot in the garden to look for those birds are available. At the traffic lights turn right from Durban, left if coming from up country.
Travel along this road "John Ross Highway" for approx. 16km.
Please ignore all turnings to Richards Bay. Travel on towards Meerensee.
The road makes a left bend and becomes Anglers Rod, take the second turning to the right off Anglers Rod into Crayfish Creek.
This is a loop road so you are taking the second entrance of Crayfish Creek (there is a "Duck Inn" directional sign on the island) and the third turning to the left off Crayfish Creek into Dageraad. (see "Duck Inn" sign) We are the second drive way on the right hand side. Duck Inn has three yellow garage doors and a large tree in the middle of the driveway.
