From Johannesburg: take the M1 north and then turn west onto the N1 at the Woodmead interchange. At the Lanseria off-ramp, take the R512 north and proceed for 27.5km along the R512, the K west road is clearly marked on the left-hand side of the road.
From Pretoria: proceed west along Proes Street, turn right into Malan Street west and then left onto the N4 toll road to Rustenburg. At the end of the toll road (14km) take the Pelindaba off-ramp south and turn right and then right again onto the Pelindaba Road. Proceed west until the T-junction where the R512 meets the Pelindaba Road (at the T-junction fruit stall) turn (south) left onto the R512 and 7.2km along the road, the K west road is clearly marked on the right hand side of the road.
Proceed through the boom until the Santa Barbara Estate is reached (long white wall on the left side of the road). 200 meters from the gate there is a concrete strip road leading off to the right. Follow the strip road to the end, at the flute playing concrete statue. Continue straight along the sand road to the second boom. The Donann entrance is on the right-hand side of the road some 20 metres after this boom. |
