This farm guest house is a charming family home where you can relax in privacy with the Overberg hospitality. It consists of 5 bedrooms and can accommodate 10 people with ease. There are two bathrooms, separate toilets and sitting / dining room. Bedding and towels are provided. The house has a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, a stove, cutlery and crockery. There is also a log fire in the kitchen where you can braai (barbecue). Farm style meals and breakfasts are available, but only on request. All children are welcome. For a couple only, the house can divide into a separate flat that consists of a spacious bedroom with a bathroom and a mini kitchen.
Various outdoor activities include hiking and cycling on the farm (please bring own bicycles). Normal farm activities taking place are associated with sheep and harvesting in season. The main attraction for bird watchers is spotting a colony of Cape vultures, blue cranes and a lot more. The surrounding area borders the famous De Hoop Nature Reserve with its beautiful dunes, fynbos, wildlife and wetlands. Whale season takes place between the months of June and November where whales return to the sea waters of De Hoop Nature Reserve. It also borders the Potberg Nature Reserve with its Klipspringer Trail and the famous Whale Trail.
Come and enjoy the open sky, the stars at night, the fresh air, and the beauty of the Overberg in all the seasons. So, bring your wine, light a cosy fire and just relax and enjoy yourself. |
