Desert Rose is an "up-market" Guest House, situated in the heart of Namaqualand, Springbok, offering superb accommodation at reasonable rates.

We are ideally situated halfway between Windhoek and Cape Town. Only one hour from the West Coast (Port Nolloth / McDougallsbay), also close to the mountain desert, the Richtersveld. Ideal stop-over for the visitor to the Orange River (for river rafting). Obtain a permit and go to Kleinsee, the diamond mine. Tours can be arranged ahead to view shipwrecks, diamond tours, deserted copper mines, botanical tours especially during our flower season (usually August and September).

ADSL connection is available in the rooms to catch up on the Emails or do some work on the internet. Enough secure parking, space for trailers ect. Come and enjoy the freedom of wide open spaces, fresh clean air and warm friendly people. The climate is mostly warm days and moderate evenings. The piece de la resistance is the healthy big breakfast, which includes fresh fruit from the garden.
