Crystal Waters Chalets are situated approximately 300km from Johannesburg in the Steenkamps mountains en-route between Middleburg and Lydenburg on the Potspruit Estate - approximately 40km from Lydenburg and 35km from Dullstroom. Here nature lovers will find themselves surrounded by the mountains, waterfalls, natural fountains and trout dams.

Several hiking trails can be explored, where overnight facilities cater for basic needs. The Chalets are self catering and fully equipped for six people and it consists of two bedrooms, an open plan kitchen, gas stove, refrigerator, shower and toilet, hot water system and solar power lighting with braai facilities outside. A huge fire place offers romantic, cosy setting against cold winter nights. Ample firewood is for sale. There is also the De Berg Lodge which has four bedrooms and can accommodate ten guests.

It is situated facility you will experience a wonderful and tranquil stay in a beautiful environment. The fly fisherman can test his skills against healthy rainbows, brown and golden trout in well stocked dams while bird lovers can relish in the abundance of rarer bird species such as the Blue Crane, Southern Crane, Wattled Crane and the graceful Secretary bird.

From Johannesburg / Pretoria - In Middleburg take the Stoffberg turnoff R555. Keep on the road until the Roossenekal / Lydenburg turnoff R577. Go over the Steenkampsberg Pass at the foot of the pass at crossing turn right at the sign board "Crystal Waters" + 7km on the dirt road.

Alternatively go to Belfast-Dullstroom, + 6km from Dullstroom. Take the road over the railway line - de Berg - a dirt road + 18km which brings you to the Steenkamps Pass - then follow the same directions as stated above.
