Camp Figtree has been designed around its original 1920's traditional colonial building style. Historically, this includes the distinctive use of corrugated iron roofing and wide, sweeping verandahs that create a backdrop of nostalgic elegance reminiscent of the early pioneers.

No detail is forgotten as experienced staff attend to the needs of each guest with the enthusiasm that is typical of the Southern African people. The lounge, sitting room and dining room are intoxicatingly evocative of the romantic colonial era. The refinements of this long lost period mingle with the rugged beauty of the African bushveld. This lodge has 4 large colonial suites and 2 luxury tents. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower and opens onto its own sweeping veranda with private views. The camps public areas include a swimming pool with slatted deck overlooking the valley, which falls sharply off to the side. Evenings are spent in traditional African style around a unique boma, where sounds of the crackling fire and night noises drift up from the lush valley below. The star attraction of the region is undoubtedly the Addo Elephant National Park, with more annual visitors than East Africa's Serengeti Park. At Camp Figtree you are likely to see wildlife such as kudu, bushbuck, leopard, caracal, bush pig and jackal. From its convenient location on the border of the park, Camp Figtree offers daily guided tours, using open Land Rovers to provide guests with some of the finest Elephant viewing in the world.
