Facing the spectacular sandstone hill with the outcrop shaped as a camels head (giving it its name) is this tranquil farm with glorious views of the Maluti Mountains. Camelroc is situated between the two Caledon rivers and is close to Caledonspoort border post. Camelroc can definately be recommended as a good base from which to explore the Eastern Free State Highlands as well as Lesotho.

Camelroc has six chalets that are fully furnished and well equipped for self catering purposes. All bed and bath linen is supplied. Fire places are available in the cottages, and heaters in the bedrooms. There is an outside braai (barbecue) area, garden table and chairs, safe parking, gas stove, fridge (with freezer space), cutlery and crockery, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, gas skottel-braai etc. Electricity and a geyser for hot water is also available. The units are serviced daily.

In the main homestead one can be accommodated in the guest house, three rooms sleeping 6 are all en-suite and tastefully decorated with Oregon pine furnishings.The guest house, built from traditional sandstone, has a fireplace in the lounge. All the bedrooms have heaters and electric blankets for cold winter nights. Meals can be arranged on request.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the use of the thatched entertainment area around the pool or play table tennis on the patio. There is a netball ring in the garden and ample space to play ball games and volley ball. There are diverse activities to be enjoyed and places to discover in the area. The venue also has a camping site with ablution facilities, electricity points and lights. Tents and mattresses are available for hire.
