Bushtrail is a tranquil property of 75 hectares situated in the foothills of the Magaliesberg. Our main activity is an environmental field centre and holiday camp for children. We can accommodate 80 children, sleeping in bungalows on bunk beds. Our holiday camps are run for 8 days usually starting on the first Saturday of the holiday until the following Saturday. The camps are based on the American Camp idea. We cater for the seven to fourteen year age group. Our main aim is to let your children have a holiday which they will remember for a long time.
On many occasions we were asked by the staff accompanying the schools "can we come and stay on weekends?" hence Ibis Cottage. It is built up on stilts - your car can park underneath. The cottage has two bedrooms and sleeps 4. The lounge / kitchen area is open plan and the bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin. The braai (barbecue) area is spacious and just plain "lekker!". We are planning a private splash pool at the cottage in the not too distant future.
Bushtrails immediate gardens are park-like in size with birds aplenty, our bird count over my 27 years is 170! The back of the property is undisturbed veld with a great variety of trees, grasses, insects - in fact a nature lovers paradise and all yours to enjoy during your stay. Should you bring your children along the Bushtrail forest is a child's delight, huge trees to clamber on and obstacles to use, obviously all at your own risk, but kids have guardian angels who work overtime!

We require a 50% deposit to secure booking and balance payable in cash on arrival.
Breakages and/or damages must be declared and paid for.
The cottage will be checked on arrival and before departure.

7km from the village of Magaliesburg turn LEFT at the "New Thorndale" road sign.
Travel for 4km on gravel road, and turn LEFT at the "Bushtrail" sign (RN 3).
Travel for another 1km arrive to the main centre.
