Brisan on the Canals

Ideally situated to start or end your Garden Route experience, St Francis Bay is a unique and picturesque village only 100km southwest of Port Elizabeth. Nestled on the canals Brisan B&B offers superb hospitality and luxurious en-suite accommodation. Hearty English or Continental breakfasts are served either in the cosy dining room or, weather permitting, on the terrace overlooking the canals.

Our 6 bedrooms are beautifully appointed allowing you the choice of king or twin extra length beds, tea and coffee tray with fresh homemade rusks, hairdryers and TV. Upstairs, the luxury suite opens onto a large balcony with a private built in braai (barbecue) and is ideal for honeymooners, those who enjoy additional luxury, or a family with younger children. There are also 3 wonderful canal facing rooms opening onto the lawns with easy access to the canals, private beach and sundeck at the waters edge. For those who do not wish to eat out every night, we offer braai (barbecue) facilities. Wonderful canal, river and deep sea cruises operate daily from our jetty according to the tides and weather. We also have 2 canal boats and a two man canoe for hire if you'd prefer to explore our waterways on your own, or with a partner.

Local interests and activities include pristine beaches with safe swimming, windsurfing, body and board surfing, hiking, bird watching, beautiful drives and just sheer relaxation. St Francis Bay boasts two wonderful golf courses - the magnificent St Francis Links and the St Francis Bay Golf Club. As golfers ourselves, we arrange tee off times, cart hire, etc. In addition there are several health and beauty clinics and spas to cater for those who enjoy being pampered. St Francis Bay also has many good restaurants which cater for all tastes.
