Set in a four acre tropical garden, with a magnificent Drakensberg escarpment backdrop, Blue Cottages offers delightfully quaint accommodation in six individual cottages (including self catering and family options).

The main farm house comprises of the original farm manager's cottage built in 1948, by Captain Drury on the pioneering Olifants River Estate. The original lampposts imported especially by Drury from London, can still be seen on the farm road leading to the Blue Cottages. Garden Cottage is a stylishly decorated little cottage that has it all! It has an air-conditioned bedroom with en-suite bathroom with a shower, a cosy lounge with TV and a fully equipped kitchenette as well as a delightful patio from which to sip sundowners from! The Crane Cottages and Quail Rondavels are all individually decorated and equipped with all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay.

The stunning Blyde River Canyon route is nearby, and many activities including river rafting, hiking and bird watching. Kruger Park's Phalaborwa and Orpen gates are an hour's drive away. Be sure to stay over when you next pass this tranquil and thoughtfully created hideaway!

Take the N4 and then take the Belfast / Dullstroom exit. Continue into Belfast and turn right at sign saying "Dullstroom". Continue through Dullstroom towards Lydenburg and follow signs towards Tzaneen (through Lydenburg).Go through the Strydom Tunnel and continue straight towards Hoedspruit (don't take the Tzaneen turn-off). You will see signs saying "Monsoon Gallery", "Mad Dogz Cafe" and "Blue Cottages" along the road. Turn off at Monsoon Gallery and Mad Dogz Cafe. Continue straight through security gate into the farm. Keep on driving straight until you get a sign saying "Blue Cottages".
