Athenian Villa welcomes you to a little piece of the Greek Isles in the Overberg. Set in a side lane, off the main road, one can lose sight of the little town of Caledon, and imagine oneself in Mykonos or Santorini, the setting is so authentic. The courtyard is cobblestone, and cascading with overgrown plants and flowers, making it an ideal place for a breakfast or a braai (barbecue). It also boasts a plunge pool to lend to the relaxed atmosphere.

This bed & breakfast has 9 guest rooms with toilet and shower facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, as well as satellite TV (DSTV). Each room is individually decorated so that every one is unique. It has a very warm "home away from home" atmosphere, thanks to Peter and Carol who run it hands on. They go out of their way to make sure every guest has an unforgettable stay. The building itself has a grand history, being one of the first in the town of Caledon and the facade, which is a national monument, overlooks Donkin Street. There is a huge balcony where one can spend lazy afternoons reading or sipping tea. It is an ideal place for a weekend getaway.

From the villa, it is a 20 minute scenic drive to the town of Hermanus, famous for whale watching and is only one hour from Cape Town. Athenian Villa offers secure parking, conference facilities and can accommodate groups of up to 16 people. Nearby amenities include the famous hot water spas, a golf course, a 4x4 track and quad bike racing.
