Assagay Lodge

Assagay Lodge is a country guest lodge built in an intimate style of thatch and stone, set on a farm surrounded by acres of beautiful hills, forests, and dams in the Madwala Conservancy of Assagay. Start your day with a hearty South African farm-breakfast, enjoying our fresh fruits and homemade muesli. Our 5 en-suite bedrooms each have private entrances with a TV, fridge and tea tray. The bedrooms have a special rustic charm offering the comforts of modern day life. The property boasts over 200 different species of birds and animals. Take a walk through our indigenous forests, unwind at our refreshing rock pool, or stroll through our acres of indigenous gardens. The lodge is well suited for groups traveling together and offers a niche for individuals too. Full business facilities are available. The lodge is situated near shopping centres, horse riding, golf courses, and is easy to access from national arterial roads.

Assagay Lodge is positioned on the edge of the Kloof / Hillcrest Plateau and is on the "1000 Hills Tourism Route", a perfect place from which one can launch to many fantastic site seeing destinations and game reserves in KZN. To our West lies the Majestic Drakensberg Mountain Range which is only a couple of hours away, to our East and only 25 minutes away you will find the warm ocean waters of Durban.
