The sound of breaking waves, and even that of whales when they come close to shore during the winter months of July to November, can be heard on the inside of the apartment.

The location is perfect for couples with an interest in the Argus Cycle Tour and the Two Oceans Marathon as Chapman's Peak Drive, which offers ideal viewpoints, can be reached within two minutes on foot from the apartment. Chapman's Peak Drive also offers spectacular walking, running and cycling opportunities. An array of very good restaurants and eateries, meal delivery services, supermarkets and unusual and interesting shops can be found in the village of Hout Bay. There is also a small but active fishing harbour and a long white beach.

Ideally situated for day excursions to the Wine Routes of the Western Cape, the National Botanic Gardens, Cape Point, the Cape Town Waterfront with its shops and restaurants end the spring flowers on the West Coast.
