Here's a guesthouse with a difference. From the street it looks like three Victorian terrace houses but when you step inside it's as though the place stretches out in front of you. The ceilings are high, the rooms generous and the decor is coloured with an African flourish. An African Villa in a quiet residential street within walking distance of the city centre and many local restaurants. There are three large common areas, a library (with complimentary internet access - also wi-fi access throughout the house), a lounge (with complimentary taxi phone and port and sherry on offer at night), a dining room where you will be greeted by a heart-warming full breakfast and a flickering fire in winter - in summer breakfast is served outdoors in the peaceful courtyard beside the pool. There is an honesty bar in the kitchen and complementary cake is on offer. There are 13 en-suite rooms: 5 Platinum Class (full bathroom and balcony), 2 Gold Class (full bathroom), 4 Silver Class (shower room) and 2 Bronze Class (shower room facing a quiet street).

The owners manage the house personally and are always on call to help you make your Cape Town vacation memorable but all of the staff enjoy the work and are generous with their time and talents. They can be found happily baking fresh goodies for breakfast and tea, making tea / coffee for you on you arrival, carrying your luggage, orientating you to the city and booking restaurants car rentals and tours for you, dropping off your laundry, etc. And the rates are a steal!
