Amazing Grace

"Amazing Grace" offers perfect accommodation to any guests. It is a home from home, and the visitors' book is full of praise for the comfort and facilities that it offers. The establishment is centrally situated in the village of Clarens and therefore within short walking distance of the art galleries, restaurants and pubs.

The self catering home is modern and spacious, and sleeps six. There is a large open-plan fully equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting room with fireplace. The living room opens out onto a patio with a built-in braai (barbecue) facility. There are three bedrooms; one with double bed, and two with two single beds in each. There are also two bathrooms; one with a bath and other with a shower. All bedding, bath towels and bath soap are provided. There is also a lock-up garage for the security of your vehicle.

The picturesque village of Clarens in the Eastern Free State has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in South Africa. In the distance the Maluti Mountains in Lesotho can be seen, which are frequently snow-capped during winter. The Golden Gate National Park, with it's spectacular towering sandstone cliffs, is approx 16km from the village. Clarens is an art mecca with a large number of art galleries, and many artists now live in the village. There are a large variety of activities available to visitors, these include: mountain trails, bird watching and game viewing, horse riding, quad-biking, 4x4 trails, white-water rafting, trout fishing, visiting the San (Bushmen) art caves, archery, golf, bowls, tennis and squash. Clarens is a peaceful and friendly country village. If you are already thinking of retiring to the country this is the place to come and explore.
