Albatross Villa is a fully equipped self catering house (100 meters from beach) consisting of 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, guest lounge, dining room and fully equipped kitchen. Albatros Villa can accommodate up to 8 people. The villa also offers overnight facilities for 2 people. The living room area upstairs has satellite TV (DSTV), a braai (barbecue) area and balcony from where you can watch the whales and the magnificent sunsets. There is a second braai area in the courtyard. Satellite TV (DSTV) is available in 3 living areas.
The region enjoys fine weather throughout most of the year. The best time for whale watching is between August and November when the whales folic in the bay. This seaside village lies 85km north of Cape Town, snuggled between Cape Town and Langebaan. It is the perfect base from which to explore the Cape West Coast.
Yzerfontein is known for its unique 16 mile beach, the longest uninterrupted sandy beach on the South Africa coastline, stretching north of the main beach, to the West Coast National Park. Enjoy beachcombing, whale / dolphin watching, wild flower viewing from August to November and bird watching, mountain biking, scenic drives and day tours, as well as hiking and water sports such as skiing, surfing, scuba diving, spear fishing and angling. The town also has a small craft harbour for leisure and commercial boats, various restaurants and numerous shops. |
