Akuwaiseni Guest House offers stylish comfortable accommodation in 6 double neo classic rooms with a definite minimal / ethnic flavor. All the rooms have their own bathrooms, plenty of cupboard space and cleaning services are available on a daily basis. The rooms boast pure cotton linen, gowns, bath and pool towels as well as toiletries, and hairdryers. Satellite TV (DSTV), ceiling fans and gas heaters are available in each room. There are 2 separate self catering units, which have their own fully equipped kitchens.
Breakfast is included in the rates, with a choice from a full farm house breakfast, to a healthier option of muesli, yogurt and fruit salad. You can have your eggs done anyway you like from boiled to omelet with your choice of filling, or you can just start the day with your choice of cereal. Every morning you will be informed what will be cooked for dinner and it's up to you to decide by 12:00 whether you would be eating dinner with us or not. We have a dinner party or braai (barbecue) every Saturday night which we would love you to be part of.
The guest house has a black heated pool, which can be enjoyed anytime of the year, which is surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens. The gardens can be enjoyed from either the deck chairs next to the pool or the very welcoming and open plan patio. There is a conference venue that is ideal for seminars, meetings, workshops, presentations and it can accommodate up to 20 persons. Refreshments and equipment is supplied. The guest house is situated near to various restaurants, shops, bars and clubs. The opening and closing ceremonies for the Soccer World Cup in 2010 is going to be held, only 10 minutes away from the suburb of Melville.

From Sandton City you can take the Oxford to Rosebank, turn right at the McDonald's you will pass three traffic lights until you get to a S-bend junction. You must turn right at the S-bend and then turn immediately left onto a road that runs parallel to a golf course. Follow this road until you reach the end of the golf course. You will then get to a traffic light and turn right over a bridge. Go through the next traffic light and the very next road to your right is 6th Avenue follow that road until you get to No. 21.
From Cresta
Pass Cresta on your left when travelling on Beyers Naude Drive, on your way to Melville. Pass North Cliff Corner shopping center on your right, and keep going past West Park Cemetery on your right and the Botanical Gardens on your left. Travelling up the hill into Melville just past the RAU sports grounds, you will then turn left into 6th Avenue. We are situated just over the rise and the turning circle at No. 21.
From OR Tambo (Johannesburg) International Airport
Take the Johannesburg road and at Galoolys interchange. You will then take the Durban / Alberton Road and turn left on Germiston Johannesburg Road. Travel right over to Johannesburg until you get to Sandton and Pretoria. Remember to drive only 80km per hour and follow that road until you get to the Empire Road turn-off. Then turn left into Empire Road, and follow the road until you get to a T-junction by the SABC. Turn right into Kingsway at the third set of traffic lights and turn into University Street. Pass McDonald's on your left keep on University Street which becomes Main Street. Carry on until you get to the 3rd set of traffic lights, keep to the right hand side of the road where the island is. Where the island stops, turn right into 6th Avenue. Go up the hill and go over the circle and the 3rd house on your left hand side is No. 21, 6th Avenue.
