African Roots Guest House is a tranquil guesthouse, situated close to the city centre, restaurants and hospitals. The guesthouse is part of the original farmhouse built in 1928. The original steel pressed ceilings and oregon pine floors have been retained, but the architecture has been adapted to a more contemporary style.

All 21 units have individual entrances onto the garden and swimming pool. The luxury suites are air-conditioned and furnished with a king size Indian bed. The suites have their own lounge and fireplace and are stylishly furnished with a range of antique and contemporary furniture and local artwork. All units are equipped with a television with M-NET and DSTV (Movie Magic 1 & 2 and Supersport 1, 2 & 3), mini-bar and tea / coffee facilities. A Full English breakfast is served accompanied with fresh seasonal fruit, cereal and yogurt and weather permitting, breakfast is served on one of the large porches or in the garden next to the Koi pond.

The guesthouse offers a 24 hour wireless internet zone with a number of units equipped with direct LAN access. The Conference venue caters for 30 to 40 people, depending on seating arrangements and fax and e-mail facilities are also available. Secure parking with remote access control is provided.
