Abalone is an unusually artistic and unique guest house, with exclusive SA artwork incorporated into its décor, and is situated on Sievers Point, a landmark beachfront position midway between the town centre and beautiful white beaches of Hermanus. Sievers Point is considered to be the best land based whale watching area in Hermanus.

Rooms enjoy either sea, mountain or garden views and all have private balconies or patios, and feature tea / coffee making facilities, hairdryers, overhead fan, telephones, television, robes, underfloor heating and heated towel rails. All rooms are serviced daily and are non-smoking. The lounge has a fireplace and both the lounge and the library / TV room have magnificent sea views. Complimentary tea and coffee are available throughout the day. The guest lodge has a swimming pool which is protected from the wind, and a large garden which allows visitors the opportunity of relaxing under the large shade trees. Conference facilities are also available and we cater for small intimate groups.

We serve a continental and full English breakfast daily. Dinners are available, but need to be prebooked. Breakfast is served in the dining room which has superb sea and mountain views. Weather permitting - meals are served on the sea facing patio.
